The Dominican Republic’s Military Manual (1980) tells soldiers: “If you violate any of the laws of war, you commit a crime and are subject to punishment under the … laws and the Code of Military Justice.”
The Dominican Republic’s Code of Military Justice (1953) provides for the punishment of a soldier who infringes certain rules of the LOAC, notably against prisoners of war, hospitals, temples or
parlementaires.
