Practice Relating to Rule 8. Definition of Military Objectives
Argentina’s Law of War Manual (1989) states:
4.02 (2). … military objectives, that is, those objects which by their nature, location, purpose or use make an effective contribution to military action or whose total or partial destruction, capture or neutralization, in the circumstances ruling at the time, offers a definite military advantage.

Military objectives, in so far as objects are concerned, are limited to those objects which by their nature, location, purpose or use make an effective contribution to military action or whose total or partial destruction, capture or neutralization, in the circumstances ruling at the time, offers a definite military advantage.
