Summary
This law is mirroring quasi exactly the 1994 law on cooperation with the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia. By enacting it, Italy complied with its obligation to cooperate with the International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda as stipulated in United Nations resolution 955. It thus recognized the primacy of that Tribunal and set forth how the Italian authorities must cooperate with the Tribunal. It also provided for the arrest and surrender of persons prosecuted, cooperation in the conduct of judicial investigations, the supply of information and the execution of the Court's sentences in Italy.
